On the night of 8 to 9 May, seven additional night bus routes will be introduced in Riga, operating on weekend nights – from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday. They will be: N1 "Centrs – Teika – Jugla – Mežciems – Centrs", N2 "Centrs – Sarkandaugava – Vecmīlgrāvis", N3 "Centrs – Iļģuciems – Daugavgrīva", N4 "Centrs – Imanta – Zolitūde – Āgenskalns – Centrs", N6 "Centrs – Purvciems – Pļavnieki – Dārzciems – Centrs", N7 "Centrs – Ķengarags – Latgales iela – Centrs" and N10 "Centrs – Āgenskalns – Ziepniekkalns – Centrs". Night transport to several city neighbourhoods will be provided until 27 September.

The new routes will supplement the existing night transport, which includes the N22 bus running every night between the airport and the city centre. Night transport this summer has been organised based on last summer’s experience – some routes have been retained, one has been improved, and the rest are new.

On the route, the bus stops only upon request. The same tickets and discounts that apply to daytime public transport will also be valid on night buses. 

Night buses will run on the following routes:

N1 "Centrs – Teika – Jugla – Mežciems – Centrs" departs from the stop "Centrālā stacija", then runs along Raiņa bulvāris, Marijas iela, Merķeļa iela, Brīvības bulvāris, Brīvības iela, Gaisa tilts, Brīvības gatve, Silciema iela, Murjāņu iela, Juglas iela, Malienas iela, Hipokrāta iela, Biķernieku iela, Viļa Ģelbes iela, Brīvības gatve, Gaisa tilts, Brīvības iela, Brīvības bulvāris, Raiņa bulvāris to the stop "Centrālā stacija".

N2 "Centrs – Sarkandaugava – Vecmīlgrāvis" In the direction to Vecmīlgrāvis, the buses will depart from the stop "Centrālā stacija", then run along Raiņa bulvāris, Marijas iela, Merķeļa iela, Kalpaka bulvāris, Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela, Duntes iela, Tilta iela, Meža prospekts, Viestura prospekts, Mīlgrāvja iela, Jaunciema gatve, Vecāķu prospekts, Emmas iela, Augusta Dombrovska iela, Baltāsbaznīcas iela, Atlantijas iela to the stop "Vecmīlgrāvja D/P". In the direction to the centre, the buses will depart from the stop "Vecmīlgrāvja D/P", then run along Atlantijas iela, Meldru iela, Kreimeņu iela, Augusta Dombrovska iela, Emmas iela, Vecāķu prospekts, Jaunciema gatve, Mīlgrāvja iela, Viestura prospekts, Meža prospekts, Tilta iela, Duntes iela, Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela, Raiņa bulvāris to the stop "Centrālā stacija".

N3 "Centrs – Iļģuciems – Daugavgrīva". In the direction to Daugavgrīva, the buses will depart from the stop "Stacijas laukums", then run along Marijas iela, 13. janvāra iela, 11. novembra krastmala, Akmens tilts, Uzvaras bulvāris, Raņķa dambis, Daugavgrīvas iela, Daugavgrīvas šoseja, Gaigalas iela, Stūrmaņu iela, Gobas iela, Kapteiņu iela, Flotes iela, Parādes iela to the stop "Birutas Baumanes aleja". In the direction to the centre, the buses will depart from the stop "Daugavgrīvas D/P", then run along Parādes iela, Flotes iela, Kapteiņu iela, Gobas iela, Stūrmaņu iela, Gaigalas iela, Daugavgrīvas šoseja, Daugavgrīvas iela, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras bulvāris, Akmens tilts, 11. novembra krastmala, 13. janvāra iela, Marijas iela to the stop "Stacijas laukums".

N10 "Centrs – Āgenskalns – Ziepniekkalns – Centrs" departs from the stop "Stacijas laukums", then runs along Marijas iela, 13. janvāra iela, 11. novembra krastmala, Akmens tilts, Uzvaras bulvāris, Bāriņu iela, Mārupes iela, Ojāra Vācieša iela, Torņakalna iela, Vienības gatve, Ozolciema iela, Valdeķu iela, Graudu iela, Saulkalnes iela, Valdeķu iela, Tadaiķu iela, Vaiņodes iela, Kārļa Ulmaņa gatve, Mūkusalas iela, Salu tilts, Lāčplēša iela, Emīlijas Benjamiņas iela, Marijas iela to the stop "Stacijas laukums".

Routes N1, N4, N6, N7, and N10 operate on a loop route, and departures from the city centre will be at 00.00, 01.00, 02.00, 03.00, and 04.00.

Meanwhile, routes N2 and N3 will run in both directions equally, with departures from the city centre at 00.00, 01.20, 02.40, and 04.00, and from Vecmīlgrāvis and Daugavgrīva at 00.40, 02.00, and 03.20.

The last departure from the city centre at 04.00 on routes N1, N4, N6, N7, and N10 will follow a shortened route to the final stop, which provides a practical way to get home from the city centre:

• on route N1 to the area of the intersection of Biķernieku and Kastrānes iela (to the stop “Tālivalža iela” at Kastrānes iela);
• on route N4 to the area of the intersection of Apuzes and Šampētera iela (to the stop "Šampētera iela");
• on route N6 to the area of the intersection of Augusta Deglava and Nīcgales iela (to the stop "Itas Kozakevičas iela" at Augusta Deglava iela);
• on route N7 to the turnaround point on Latgales iela before the Dienvidu tilts (to the stop "Dienvidu tilts");
• on route N10 to the area of the intersection of Tadaiķu iela and Vaiņodes iela (to the stop "Bērzupes iela/2. slimnīca").
